Huxley? I hear you cry!In the world of golf, all of the above and many more too numerous to mention have become synonymous to the name of Golf. Huxley Golf, the leader in UK synthetic putting surfaces is slowing becoming that 'name ' con joined to its product, synthetic golf greens.
It has certainly been a busy year for Huxley. This summer their modular golf green was used at the Broadgate Arena in the City of London for the Alfred Dunhill Million Dollar Putt.
The Million Dollar Putt charity event took place over 5 days in which budding golfers pitched their skill over the silky surface in competition to find the best putter. The two best players per day went into the Grand Final. The eventual winner. Frenchman Antoine Boudron took home the £499 Alfred Dunhill voucher and the chance to try and win an elusive $1,000,000 prize split between the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation and a charity of the winners choice. His single attempt agonisingly made the distance but not the line!
The Huxley Modular 6 hole Putting Green, which covered an area of 186 square metres, was specially designed for the event and was created and dismantled in two and a half days respectively.
