Anyone watch the Gardening Year with MR 'T'?
I know I do run his turfing methods down a bit but I do like Alan really.
Lots of my projects were done around his old stomping grounds.
What really surprised me is why he moved from the relative peace and calm of Beech to Holybourne?
I know his old garden was rather big and on a wicked slope too but I am sure Alan is not short of a few bob and could have had a truly tranquil house in any of the villages of Tisted, Farringdon, Hawkley or Froxfield and a few more to boot.
The village of Holybourne is lovely and it is on the route of the old A31 before the by pass. The problem is the newer A31 dual carriageway is only a few hundred yards away and boy can you hear the noise of it during filming.
