Tom 'Crocodile Dundee' Hunter has struck again and spent from his fast diminishing £50 million war chest.
After digesting Sanders Garden World £13m plus stock) at the start of September and then Peter Baratts (c. £27m) at the end he has now, through the Wyevale chain bought Old Barn Nurseries for a reported £7m from retiring owner Graham Spears.
The Nurseries, which Wyevale is expected to retain, filed accounts showing about £4.6m in turnover last year and it brings the total garden centres owned by Wyevale to 120.
