Do you have a gardening event that you wish to publicice or perhaps a gardening or allotment group that you need to boost the membership to?
Why not add your details to our 'Facebook' of gardening over at the Landscape Juice Network?
The great thing is, because we have thousands of visitors pass through during the week, your event may get that little bit of exposure you may not get if you pop an ad in the local paper.

By 2010, the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew and partners in fifty countries worldwide, will have collected over ten percent of the worlds wild flower seeds.
The aim is to store the seeds in the Millennium Seedbank which will enable re-introduction of endangered species should world conditions deteriorate.

I have just started a discussion on the Landscape Juice Gardeners Network concerning The International Chelsea Flower Show.
With inherent transport problems, increasing admission and parking costs and of course, very limited space, should the Chelsea Flower Show now be scaled down or scrapped?

I have blogged gardening by the moon and the moons effects on plant growth and influence over sowing times.
Here is France, the moon is taken extremely seriously as far as the farming fraternity is concerned and if you witness the flurry of activity in the fields at certain times, one can almost be certain that it falls in a particular moon phase that is regarded as perfect for that operation.
I am also aware, as a professional gardener, that anyone who puts their bedding plants out before the 1st June, is more than putting their plants at risk.

Now this may seem very obscure but let me assure you, after paying large sums out for repairs caused by less than sensitive operators over the years, this simple tip could be the most rewarding lawn mower advice you have had all summer.
Rotary lawn mowers are required by law to have a dead man's handle that acts as a blade brake. The handle works in unison with the drive lever and has to be depressed for the blade to engage and the machine to move off.

The weather this weekend is set to soar in the United Kingdom and garden centres should be on standby for a bumper weekend.
Hopefully, trade will pick up and alleviate any fears that this season has already passed for growers and retailers.
The early Easter and poor weather put pay to a strong start from the blocks but hopefully, hard pressed businesses can bounce back strongly - early bedding will be one of the indicators or how successful the weekend would have gone.

Inspired by the Garden Network, I have started my own community here on Landscape Juice.
The advantage to any business or individual who signs up, is the exposure to thousands of weekly visitors who pop by.
I think, here on Landscape Juice, we have that little something extra to offer you that the old fashioned gardening websites cannot.
Now, on top of the daily posts and links to information, events and news, as well as profiles such as today's post subject of Tracey Rich and her life as a wildlife and horticulture photographer, we have the network.

Making a living as a photographer these days is quite a competitive business. If getting the shot right isn't hard enough, selling the photographs afterwards needs another skill set too.
Tracey Rich is one photographer who has seamlessly blended her job as a horticulture and wildlife photographer, vastly increasing the opportunities for success.
Photographing the wild flora and fauna doesn't just take skill, but an exemplary keen and sensitive eye. However, snapping a flower when it is at it's peak is rarely life threatening.
