Creating a good a brand
Very early on, I decided that I would ditch my scruffy T shirt look and replace my ex army olive green lightweight trousers with a proper corporate uniform. The result was astounding and it quickly set me out from the rest.
I went on to employ sixteen people at one point and by then, a proper company image was essential but you do not need to employ people to take pride in how you look.
Vinyl or even magnetic signs are very cheap and easily produce and will make you sand out from the crowd. What is more, the side of your vehicle is a great way of thousands of people seeing your details during the working week.
Many times did we receive calls from potential customers who had jotted down our number whilst stuck behind a van in a traffic queue.
What is more, there is a certain calming influence for a customer, especially if they are elderly, in having a recognisable marque.
You do not necessarily need to create a logo but having a set of t shirts, polo shirts and sweatshirts that all match in style will really go along way to tell your customers a bit about how much you care.
My pacman logo became very well known around the patch I worked in and it is still used, after twenty years.
