I have been looking at a fascinating garden design that Ian Hutt has drawn using the Vectorworks design software for submission to the Hampton Court flower show.
It is not the garden design which wowed me (although the design is rather nice) but Ian's inclusion of rainwater harvesting tanks buried beneath the pathways.
In an age when we are so much more concious about recycling it has got to be a focus for all garden designers and landscapers to include facilities for green waste composting and water harvesting.
We all want to water the hanging baskets and we would all like to do the watering in the evenings without the fear that we are overusing this natural resource that is in such high demand.
I would like to hear from any landscapers or designers who are making provisions for recycling.
