Is there an environmentally concious business man or women in the United Kingdom who is looking for a business opportunity?
My recent research has highlighted that there is no real solution to the growing mountain of plastic plant pots that are loitering in garages and sheds around the nation.

Only last year the consumer was presented with a ten pound rise in the price of a six foot Christmas Tree because of supply problems in Denmark.
So far out of three of the UK's leading suppliers, HA Trim have set the price of a six foot Christmas tree at £21.65 although Jadecliff and The Emerald Group have yet to announce their prices.

I am having the day off so I would like to introduce you all to Cat Fereday who is making us all chuckle over at the Landscape Juice Network with her 'Tales of a Gardeners wife' blog - Enjoy!
Hi. Gardening books and magazines regularly include seasonal “to do” sections, and, in response, its probably time that someone chronicled the seasons from the point of view of a gardener’s wife. So here’s my view on my year and how I experience the seasonal progress of my gardening husband, henceforth referred to as “Fereday”.

I probably do not need to write a great deal of text but merely direct you to the fantastic website of Easton Walled Gardens - however, I will leave the link till the very last and tempt you a little with what you can expect to see.
I looked at several websites yesterday evening in a bid to find something of interest for the weekend - I wanted to add a little 'wow' factor to what I came up with and I think I might have just done that.
If you love Gardens and you love history then I suspect you will delight at the thought of walking around these once splendid four hundred year old gardens, once described by President Franklin D Roosevelt, who honeymooned there, ‘A dream of Nirvana… almost too good to be true.’

I love it when a plan comes together and only a day after adding the Finding a Landscaper free service to Landscape Juice we have had our first success.
In fact, we have had two successes because not only has portal one worked i.e. this site has worked well as the landing site for home owners looking to find a landscape gardener, garden designer or garden maintenance company, but we have also managed, through the lead being distributed across our (fast growing) network of industry professionals, for Lara Johnson and her company Warner Grounds, being commissioned to provide a design with a view to building the garden - all in the matter of three days.

If I called you up via the telephone and said I had a great deal for you personally or you as a business owner you would naturally be a little suspicious of my motives.
Nobody ever passes anything on for free do they? - well in my case and Landscape Juice, that is exactly what I am doing and you could benefit greatly from the work I and members of our Landscape Juice Network are putting in.
Covers, a South East UK based Landscape material supply company have recently joined the Landscape Juice Network and are already taking an active role in promoting their business and helping our members.

I have just been reading Horticulture Week Online and the recent liquidation of Trevor Tooth's garden design practice and with it, the loss of twenty jobs.
The Credit Crunch has been blamed after the buyer of Tooth's Lloyds TSB Chelsea show garden pulled the plug after apparently suffering financial problems themselves.
The downturn and possible recession has not arrived all of a sudden -The writing has been displayed on the wall larger than one of Banksey's graffiti art.
My advice to any business that has employees to protect would be to rein in spending and cut out high cost projects such as show gardens and concentrate on finding solid tangible projects in real gardens.

Today sees the start of a very exciting concept and free service on Landscape Juice and something which may benefit our retail and domestic readers to the site.
Find a Landscaper
I get an awful lot of visitors who land on Landscape Juice who are looking for something in particular and one query that is constantly flagged up on my search results is the need for a Landscaper, Gardener of Garden Designer and up until now, it has been difficult to think of a way to distribute those enquiries to people that would have a need for this generated lead.
