Whilst the news all around the gardening blogs and horticulture sites spread like wildfire that chemicals containing aminopyralid had contaminated manure it is probably not so well reported that the Pesticides Safety Directorate PSD has suspended for sale any product containing the active ingredient aminopyralid.
The chemicals Banish, Pro-Banish, Forefront, Halcyon, Pharoh, Runway and Synero which are manufactured and supplied by Dow AgroSciences Limited and Upfront which is manufactured and supplied by AgChemAccess Ltd have had their approval modified whilst the PSD investigates the matter further.
Anyone who stores the chemical is legally allowed to continue but have been urged not to dispose of illegally and distributors have been asked to contact all of their clients to advise them of the suspension.
The Up at the big house blog, Chas has posted pictures on his blog showing the contorted effects that aminopyralid has on Tomatoes grown in suspected contaminated medium.
