We have been looking for an image that stands out over at the Grass Clippings blog and between Mike and myself have not been overly happy with the old banner image. It served the purpose for the time we had it there, but then Mike had a brilliant idea.
Mike has always been a fan of the postcard series Tottering by Gently by Annie Tempest so he contacted Raymond O'Shea at the Tottering company and asked if Grass clippings could use the Tottering image Mars and Venus Mow the Lawn as a header.

I was introduced to Lynda Green by Mike Seaton at the Saltex show and within a few minutes I helped to translate a a presentation into French on the Terrain Aeration stand.
It was the strangest of introductions but it was also a great way to break the ice as far as introductions are concerned.
I warmed very quickly to Lynda and her immense enthusiasm and passion for her Terralift range of products. The Remote Tarralift had just been launched.
That brief but enjoyable meeting has resulted in me and Landscape Juice producing a marketing blog for Terrain Aeration to promote their turf de compaction and and root aeration technology.

Do you have a gardening or landscaping product that you would like to have tested and assessed before it goes on for retail sale?
What about a landscaping machine or implement that needs attention from a landscaper first and journalist second?
I have worked in the garden, landscaping and turf care industry for all of my working life and also employed many operatives therefore I have extensive experience in understanding what to expect from a product.

It has taken the events of this week to make me realise just how popular the Paving Expert site is and how disappointed that the sites followers have been since the site went down.
I have just spoken to Tony and he wishes to reassure everyone that the site will definitely come back but at present he is not sure on when.
The crux of the matter lies with the old host of the site and the new site host who both say that they do not know the status of the domain name. Both companies deny that they are at present in control of the domain.

The summer play season has come to an end and for the enthusiast, keeping the lawn in good shape is a priority whilst there is still some warmth in the soil. September is an ideal month for re-seeding the lawn surface so that worn and bare areas can be rejuvenated.
Some gardeners think that new grass seed can be sprinkled on a bare patch, covered with a few millimetres of compost and left to germinate.
Sadly, all too often, this method ends in failure because the new seed, - if not eaten by the birds - when it starts to root, cannot penetrate through the compacted crust of the surface levels.

Since I covered his Gardeners World debut, I have been reading as much comment and articles as I can since Toby Buckland took over on Gardeners World.
It is hard to be everything to all men and I am sure Toby would still have his critics even if he made potatoes turn to gold.
Reading the Times online interview this morning I must say that I am impressed that he is willing to stand up for himself and not be herded into a corner by those who wish to influence what television programs advise their viewers to do.

When you see the wallfower at its brilliant best in early spring it is hard to image that the plant may have survived through the harshest of weathers and at temperatures of minus ten or more.
The Wallflower Cheiranthus is a member of the brassica family and as you may be aware, you harvest cabbage throughout the winter and often when the fields is covered in snow.
The wallflower is a biennial so you will need to be buying in your plants unless you have already grown them from seed.
