The Garden Answers and Gardening News websites are having an overhaul and will be off-line until the new year.
Gardeningmags, is now owned by the Bauer Media Group after taking it off of Emap earlier in the year in a £1.4 billion deal - Emap had previously announced a dramatic drop in revenues from its consumer magazines.
What surprises do Bauer have in store for readers when the new site is launched?
Garden News and Garden Answers have moved to Tuesday as part of the Bauer shake-up but I wonder if enough has been done in time to stop the rot that Emap had suffered.
The only thing that I find baffling, why pull the old site down in the interim. Surely, regardless of the amount of traffic or related sales through the site, it is better to keep some kind of presence?
