Helmsley Walled Garden wins People's Lottery grant

Helmsley Walled Garden has announced that it has been successful in a Peoples Lottery grant and can now proceed with new sensory and school garden for locals and people who may have special needs or disabilities.

Some of the grant will also go towards employing a Horticultural Therapist.

The draw was made on November 24th and Helmsley Walled Garden was in amongst stiff competition.

There are 71 projects to be funded this year with a further 18 bonus awards for the runners up.
