The HTA is to hold its membership rates for the 2009 season after it identified that members will be under pressure as the economic crisis bites.
At the HTA annual general meeting at the Melbicks Garden Centre on the 3rd December, it was acknowledged that businesses are under pressure and it was agreed that by keeping subscriptions at the 2008 rates, would help members benefit in these difficult trading times.
The HTA will pick up the tab for the difference and the HTA will also take action to reduce its operating costs.
There will be a one day conference on the 5th March 'managing a business through recessionary times' - on the agenda will be cost reduction, smart buying, driving footfall and making the most of staff.
