What hope do the rest of the horticulture publishers have if the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) cannot make ends meet?
The RHS makes claim to attracting the largest monthly on-line audience with just over 850,000 unique visitors reading 6.3 million pages.
Despite this massive audience the RHS is faced with losing about ten percent of its workforce saying that it fears its 'predictable' revenue streams could disappear.
I am perplexed though. If the Internet is drawing in so many visitors, why has online editor, Geoff Hodge become a casualty of the RHS cuts?
Geoff wrote on his GardenForum blog on the 3rd July that he was being made redundant after eight and a half years - Geoff's final day was Friday 10th July 2009.
