I can exclusively reveal that the Chief Executive of the British Association of Landscape Industries, Sandra Loton-Jones, is to leave her post at the end of January.
The news was revealed to BALI members via email this afternoon.
In the email, Chairman, Richard Gardiner said that it was with regret that he announces Sandra Loton-Jones' decision to step down: Sandra Loton-Jones has held the post for five years.
Gardiner says Sandra Loton-Jones' role at BALI had been particularly demanding, and had required her to travel widely across the UK, and further afield, to represent members' interests.
In her resignation letter, Sandra Loton-Jones said that she felt the association was 'moving into a new stage of development' and given the factors mentioned above, it is the 'opportune' time to pass the job on to someone else.
An announcement will be made in next week's Horticulture Week before a search for LJ's successor begins.
