Q Lawns have launched a new marketing strategy in a bid to tap deeper into the domestic turf market.
I spoke to Q Lawns' Managing Director, Chris Carr this morning and he told me that 2009 yielded a thirty percent drop in trade sales; he also said that the sales drop was an industry wide problem and believed that home owners were either doing-it-themselves or employing casual contractors.
Q Lawns' relationship with B&Q had helped the company raise domestic sales by about eight percent - a trend that Chris Carr believes will continue this year.
Q Lawns have also launched a new website.
