I have to share these photo's with you. They are not particularly crisp because I was rushing to catch the light.

Sitting in my study, updating Landscape Juice I peered out of my window to see the strangest of colours.

You could be the Garden Photographer of the Year

At this time of year, with Halloween, Guy Fawkes and Christmas, there are so many dates that we all have scratch into our diaries. With that in mind you can be forgiven for overlooking one important event.

The 31st of January is the closing date for entries into the Garden Photographer of the Year awards. Time is running short, so if you want to win it, you have to be in it.

The winners will have their work exhibited at the world renowned Kew Gardens.

How plants were illustrated before the digital age

Nearly every single day I take a photograph of something and nothing. I am sure as well that many of you reading this will have done the same?

The advent of digital cameras have really opened up a whole new world with the Macro lens sharpening  natures beauty and all of these massive files can be store away on gigabytes of space which just keeps wandering into infinitum as Moore predicted.
