Landscape Juice has just passed it's first birthday.
It is not always easy to find the inspiration to produce the material and I really do understand why so many bloggers fall by the wayside so quickly in their pursuit of readers.
Some Blogs are highly focussed on their subject and do not incorporate off topic experiences, musings or ramblings. Some tell of the authors great struggle with life as well as what they do for a trade and many are an eclectic mix of anything.
However, there are only a small percentage of blogs that make the twelve month anniversary as authors either get disillusioned or sidetracked or maybe just too busy with the day job.
What I have just found, on the first anniversary of Landscape Juice, that my stat's have risen by three times their daily average and according to Craig McGinty who has helped and advised me set up the site it seems to be a milestone, the year I mean, that opens the floodgates to increased and probably more importantly, highly focussed search traffic.
I have a great interest in the social media thing generally and I wonder what the next phase will bring us? The dot com bust is history now but this new era has and will continue to bring opportunities for bloggers and my advice, if you have the time, inspiration and passion, is to stick with it.
Set a twelve month time frame and keep an eye on your growing stats to see how your traffic is finding you.
Here are a few good resource sites that will help.
