Sometimes, all the best plans of mice and men go wrong.
How many times have you sown a bed of annual seeds for the episode to turn into a farce?
I have experimented many times with my annual explosion both for myself and for clients only to experience a light puff instead of a bang.
This is the reason that this blog post from Diane Johnson has made me chuckle.
Readily admitting to not being a gardener although promising herself every year that she would get out into the yard and do something. Diane even enlisted the help of her daughter but alas the plan never got off the ground.
However, fate dealt Diane a rather pleasant surprise and a welcome invitation from the next door garden has made her the envy of her neighbours.
Diane describes the little blue flowers but unfortunately, although she is tempted, Diane does not include a photo and does not know the their name.
It goes to show, you do not need to be fluent in Latin and retain all of the names in the Hillier book to appreciate the joys that Mother nature throws at us.
