The Landscape Juice Network is going to attempt something this evening that I believe no other UK based, if not World, landscaping and garden network site has ever done.
We will hold a Skype chat and conference call to discuss issues related to gardening, landscaping and design through the Landscape Juice Network Skype chat interface.
In essence, the message that this initial chat and conference call will demonstrate is the ability of a disparate group or individual to come together ans share, discuss and plan using the internet over the internet.
I often hear that being a one man band is lonely and the people who work day in day out on sites and in gardens do not get the chance to discuss their ideas, worries and plans leading to confusion and difficulties when running their business.
I want to change all of this and give everyone the opportunity to participate, throw ideas into the pot as far as site development and network objectives are concerned, directly out of the Landscape Juice Network front page.
Imagine, you get home from working on a site where you were faced with a problem concerning tree roots effecting a perforated drainage system for example and wanted the opportunity to discuss the problem immediately with others who may well have encountered a similar problem.
The Landscape Juice Network is unique and the only site available in the UK or indeed around the world that has created a truly open and transparent environment and promoted social interaction and brain storming amongst it's peers.
Only yesterday, Google lifted the site from a page rank of zero to three out of ten which is evidence of how our system has worked so well in such a short space of time.
You do not have to be a member of the Landscape Juice Network to join in but you do need a Skype account but to benefit from membership fully you will need to sign up to the Landscape Juice Network and post responses.
I am also aware that you may be nervous and daunted by the prospect of their being a large audience who will be logging in and listening to what you say.
Don't be shy - I will be introducing the chat without any prepared script, Craig McGinty will be there to talk about the internet, blogging and generally help anyone who wants to learn about getting on with the internet and using it to it's potential in their business.
Once I have I have introduced proceedings, I will hand over to Elspeth Briscoe who is a ten year Ebay and Skype internet strategist who will help anyone with understanding the Skype platform.
If you are interested in taking part - the Skype chat and conference call will take place at 7.30pm GMT.
You will need a Skype account, head set and microphone or a VOIP Skype phone or similar.
