I wish I could produce a scratch and sniff, feel and sense post for you so that you can get some of the atmosphere of my little walk with the dogs in the mornings.
Here are just a few of my views today.
This first picture is of a bumble bee that had taken refuge in a cranny of our outside wall. Looks like it is waiting to warm its wings ready for a foray into the wild.
Two very mature quince trees at the bottom of the track which are now flowering profusely - looks like a bumper harvest to come.
This walnut tree - Juglans - is flowering also.
A wide angled view of the countryside with the old uninhabited cottage in the foreground.
Oxeye Daisy - Leucanthemum vulgare grows in abundance all around the locality. A member of the Asteraceae family and also known as Marguerites; the plant grows well on the arid low fertile soil.
The harmless green shield bug - Palomena prasina - basks in the spring sunshine on the flower of a bearded iris.
An old horse drawn hay mower nestling in the long grass in M. Bertrand's garden.
The plantain flower looks delicate in the morning sunshine.
Nature is full of surprises. Embrace it!
