Have you ever wanted to use great photographs on your website to make it look a little more professional, but never had the time nor the ability to get it right?
Not everyone has a copy of Photoshop (not everyone can afford a copy of Photoshop) or the time to sit down and manipulate eye catching images so the next best thing is let someone else do it for you.
Why not bookmark FreeDigitalPhotos.net as source of great images. According to their terms of business, all low resolution images can be used free of charge - even for commercial work - on blogs, websites, newspapers, school projects and all that they ask is a link to their website.
The only time you pay is to upgrade to a high resolution image, after which, you do not have to link back but you cannot pass the work off as your own or re-sell any image.
I have chosen this image by Dan.
Similarly, FreeIconsweb.com lets you download and use icons from its vast 15,000 library. Terms are little more sketchy and it says you cannot use the icons for commercial use - which I read as re-sale.
But will the plants be properly named? Why not get images from a library owned by a Kew trained botanist and an award-winning photographer? At least the plants will be croorectly named! http://GardenPhotos.com
OK - commercial over. But seriously, you don't have to come to GardenPhotos.com. Go to any proper library - you tend to get what you pay for. Pay nothing and the roses will usually be captioned "rose".
