Gardeners in Dunstable and the surrounding areas are asked to keep a look out and be cautious if offered second-hand garden machinery in the next couple of weeks.
Dunstable based landscaping and gardening firm, Ouzel Landscapes, has this morning reported on the Landscape Juice Network, the theft of three machines from his locked van.
The items stolen were stolen from 24 Northall Road |Eaton Bray | Dunstable | Beds | LU6 2DQ:
Stihl BG85
Stihl fs55 brushcutter
Stihl km55r kombi unit as a 135 degree hedge cutter
See a Google map of the exact location Northall Close/Northall Road -
There are some distinguishing marks to look out for:
The blower has a blob of yellow paint by the on/off switch as well as on the screw-type nut that which secures the vacuum system; also the BG85 Badge plate is missing.
The hedge cutter's hand guard is broken; so too is the dead-man's handle. There is a distinguishing and 'unmistakable bulge' in the cutting bar.
The strimmer has yellow paint on it too and the shaft has a slight left hand bend to it. It also has a single shoulder strap and not the full harness.
I spoke to business owner Kieran Ray who told me that he returned home last night (16th March) at about 10pm after dropping his Grandmother off and heard a sound coming from the area where the van is parked on Northall Close; shortly after he heard a vehicle pulling away.
If anyone is has any information, could you please contact either Kieran Ray on 01525 221037 or Bedford Police on 01234 841212.

That's ironic. We lost 4 stihl grinders, a large chainsaw and a heavy duty strimmer overnight from steel container. Don't you just hate thieving scum?

Sorry to hear this Dave...and I agree with your 'scum' comment.
Please add the details of each machine to the stolen items form - it might help?
