A cutting taken from a horse chestnut tree which brought joy to Anne Frank during her time as refugee in an Amsterdam attic, is to be planted at the Batsford Arboretum.
The BBC reports the tree - blown down in storms on the 23rd August - is one of ten cuttings taken from the 150-year-old host and so far, it is the only one ready to be planted in the ground.
The two-foot high sapling will be planted on the 25th September in the grounds of the arboretum.
