Whether to use turf or seed to establish a wild flower meadow was the subject of James Hewetson-Brown's talk at Creating Landscapes.
Not surprisingly as head of Wild Flower Turf, James spoke on the merits of turf and in his presentation highlighted the cost savings.
The presentation can be downloaded below, and in it you will find James' estimation of the costs involved, which he believes shows a saving of around £6 per sq metre over three years.
James has also written up a report about his time at the Creating Landscapes show.
