There are only two days left to enter for the Kew Gardens international garden photographer competition (IGPOTY).
The category for the fourth autumn season from 1 September 2011 to 30 November is texture.
"The judges look for an individual and fresh approach to the subject. This could be a new way of looking at a flower, or a view of a stunning garden or a portrait of a gardener," said Philip Smith, co-founder and professional garden and plant photographer.
Philip Smith has explained how to make the best use of the autumn, to consider the colours, lighting, misty conditions and low light to create 'wonderful atmospheric shots.' Read about it on his blog 'Autumn: the best time of the year.'
