I cannot get my head around the decision taken by the water companies to not allow the watering of newly laid turf - we are turf growers and suppliers, and after 2 hard winters, the hose pipe ban so early in the year, without doubt, spells the end of our 25 year old company. If we washed cars for a living, our business would be unaffected! how can this be justified?

We ALWAYS advise our customers re saving water, and on the management of newly laid turf - South East water have emailed me, to say that customers should water their turf by watering can!

I just don't know where to go next re making complaints/appeals etc etc If anyone has any ideas, please let us know!!
