BBC Rogue Traders identifies rip-off businesses and sets up stings to catch them trying to defraud their unsuspecting clients.
Over the years it has identified so called shoddy roofers, landscapers, electricians and builders trying to con gullible clients, often without actually doing any work for their money.
I've always found the Rogue Trader format patronising, shallow and more about the smug presenters than about the serious subject the programme tries to tackle.
Of course there are dishonest people preying on others but the BBC ends up tarring everyone with the same brush. For me the content is more about sensationalist broadcasting.
Yesterday BBC Rogue Traders became a national laughing stock when it emerged that Matt Allwright's sidekick, Dan Penteado, has been charged with benefit fraud.
What an embarrassment for the BBC. Rogue Traders has surely lost whatever credibility it had.
At least we know what the content of the next programme will be...over to you Matt but you'll have to get a taxi this time.
